FDA Approves Fingolimod (Brand Name Gilenya) The First Oral Disease-Modifying Therapy for Relapsing MS! And it's expected to be available by prescription in coming weeks!
This is huge! Up until now those of us with MS have had the either give our selves shots or go and sit in a clinic for several hours a month to get our meds. Now with Gilenya we can be down to just taking a pill once daily! OMG that is great! Currently the med I take is a once daily shot. So being able to get rid of the shot for a single pill once a day is a huge relief!
