Guest Post: How to Find Coupons for Christmas Shopping

This guest post was written by Liz Cutten from My CC Finder.  You can find online coupons and so much more on her blog at MyCCFinder

How to Find Coupons for Christmas Shopping

Christmas shopping season is not only a stressful time when it comes to shopping, it's a fun time as well.  What you're going to find is that many people out there are on a tight budget, including yourself.  While you shouldn't ignore shopping, because you can't afford it,  I wanted to give you some tips on how you can find killer coupons / deals.

Tip #1:  Check the company's main site
The first thing that I would recommend is that you check out the store's website.  You will want to do this before you shop in store.  Sign up for their email list, as well as follow them on Twitter and Facebook.   When you do this, you're going to be able to get coupons just for joining many of the lists.  Not only that, you will get offers, as well as coupon alerts in the future as well!

Tip #2:  Search for deals / coupons
When you have a store set in mind, what you can do is search online before you set out and shop.  What you're going to want to do is search on Google via their “most recent results” search.  The reason you will want to do this is because you will find coupons that are fresh, rather than those that are expired, or older.

Tip #3: Buy them online
If you don't mind waiting, you will find that you can get a load of coupons online via sites such as eBay.  Sure, it sounds like a silly concept, but let me tell you that it works.  If you don't mind waiting a week or so to get them, you can get some great deals such as discounted gift cards, and more.

Tip #4:  Look for cash back
Most of the time, I would recommend that you shop online. Not only can you look for coupon codes that are generally online only, you can look for cash back offers as well.  Sites such as Ebates allow you to get cash back when you shop through their link.  All you have to do is find the store that you want to shop with, and you can get a certain percentage back.  This is a great way to get an additional 1%+ back.

Tip #5:  In the mail
The last tip that I will give you is to check your mailbox, as well as your newspaper.  These are great ways to find great coupons.  The next time you get coupons in the mail; don't throw them out, as you may find some that you can use.

These are all great ways to save.  As long as you do a little research before you set out, you're going to find that you can find a coupon most of the time.  Not only can you do this for Christmas shopping, but shopping throughout the entire year.

CSN Store Review!

Yay!!! I was contacted again to do another review for CSN Stores since I am a "Preferred Blogger".
How cool is that!

CSN Stores is one of if not the best site for online shopping. Their site has everything for dining tables, to baby and kid furniture, to shoes for the family, and even kitchen sinks!

I don't know where else you would be able to find that much variety in one place!

So I decided I would get a few things for my sweet potato for Christmas.

I got him the Chicco Radio Control ATV in Blue, the Melissa and Doug Wooden ABC/123 Blocks and the Melissa and Doug Stack and Sort Board.

How awesome are all of these! I can't wait to see him Christmas morning playing with them all.

As you can see there prices are great! Plus if you find the same item somewhere else cheaper they price match! How great is that! And as normal the ordering and shipping was great! Quick processing of the order once it was placed and delivery was just as estimated! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I hate insurance companies!

Ugh! I have been fighting with my fucking insurance company all day trying to get a prescription covered!

My major issue with my MS is fatigue. My dr and I have tried multiple different things to try and increase my energy and limit my fatigue some without adding another medicine to my long list of meds with no luck.  So at my recent appointment we finally agreed it was time to try a new (new to me) med, Provigil.  Well my stupid insurance company is telling me I don't qualify for this med. But when I ask what the requirements are for the med they can't give me an answer!  How can I not qualify for it if you don't have any written requirements for it? Ugh!

Stupid fucking insurance politics!

Peter Rabbit Fruit Snack Review and Giveaway!

Peter Rabbit fruit puree pouches are all organic, contain 100% fruit, and never have added sugar or anything artificial.  You won’t have to read the label – the fruit you see on the front is what’s inside!  If you do read the label you’ll see your snacks are high in vitamin C, have between 70 and 85 calories, 0 fat (of course – it’s fruit!) and 1.5-2 grams of fiber. Peter Rabbit Organics don’t require refrigeration before eating and come in BPA-free resealable pouches for easy packing. Plus, the convenient, squeezy pouch (with a no-choke cap) makes it fun and easy for little hands!

The new Peter Rabbit Organics fruit puree pouches come in three flavors kids love: Strawberry and Banana, Apple and Grape, and Mango, Banana and Orange.

Recently I was sent one of each type of Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Snacks to try out. These turned out to be a huge hit with my little guy. We started out with the Mango, Banana and Orange pouch first since little guy loves mango and bananas. He loved it! He sucked it down in no time.

I've heard rumblings...

I've heard rumblings that Starbucks Holiday flavors are now available. Anyone know if there is truth behind this?

If so you better watch out cause I just run you over if you get in my way from getting a Gingerbread Latte!

Chlorasptic Review

I suffer from multiple sore throats a year and normally count on my trusty Chloraspetic spray to help make it through. So when I was given the opportunity to review their lozenges I was definitely interested! Honestly  I didn't even know that Chloraseptic made lozenges till I was going to review them. Since I like the spray, I was excited to be able to try the Chloraseptic lozenges

Chloraseptic lozenges have a liquid medicine center, that adds an extra relief to your sore throat, which I've needed the last two weeks since my throat has been super sore from trying to hack up a lung! The variety that I received were really good, and cleared my nose and throat really fast. The flavors were really good, my favorite is the Green Tea with real honey.

From Choraseptic:
This year, Chloraseptic®, the # 1 pharmacist-recommended brand for sore throats, has launched a family-friendly improved line of sore throat lozenges and sprays. Now, when sore throat sufferers take a lozenge to stop that itchy feeling a soothing surprise occurs every time. Chloraseptic® Lozenges now have a soothing liquid center. With flavors like Cherry, Citrus, Honey Lemon and Green Tea (made with real honey), your family can choose their favorite flavor and enjoy them too.

“Chloraseptic® Lozenges are great to put in your backpack or briefcase for relief on contact. Parents, teachers and students will appreciate that, the great new flavors, and the benefit of liquid centers this season.”

For quick relief, pharmacists recommend these four tips:
In the event of a cough or sore throat, use lozenges such as Chloraseptic® Lozenges to numb the sore throat pain and target coughs
Wash your hands to rid of any germs or pollen
Use a humidifier
For nasal irritation, try an antihistamine

Chloraseptic® Sore Throat Lozenges are the only medicated sore throat remedy on the market that have a soothing dual-sensory solid shell with liquid medicine in the center. The burst of liquid inside each and every lozenge soothes your throat, adding a double punch of relief to the lozenge that is already targeting your sore throat and irritated nasal passages.

The Chloraseptic® Lozenge Line is available in 15 and 18 count packs. The family of sore throat relief products also includes Chloraseptic® Relief Strips® for kids, which are fast-acting, great tasting grape oral strips that relieve sore throat pain on contact. Flavors of Chloraseptic® Sore Throat Lozenges also include Wild Cherry, available in sugar free and regular, which also suppress cough for up to four hours, and maximum strength® Wild Berries, the strongest non-prescription flavor available.

I received the Chloraseptic Lozenges for reviewing purposes, no other compensation was given and all opinions expressed are my own.

Eden Fantasys Review - Adult DVD

I was contacted by Eden Fantasys to do another review for them.  Eden Fantasys is a great online site for all kinds of adult toys, videos, lingerie, and books.

Since we were discussing not to long ago that our video collection needed some new additions I figured I see what I could find a new one. They had plenty to choose from but I decided on "Fallen" a  feature video from Wicked Pictures.

Christmas on the Cheap! Project

So it's that time of year where I'd normally be putting together my grossly long list of people we need to buy Christmas presents for. With Daddy having 3 step sisters and each one of them not able to keep their legs closed, we have 8 kids under the age of 13 just on that side of the family to by for.

So this year since money is scarce in our house, I have decided I am going to put together "Family Fun" Gift Baskets for each of the 3 families and let that be it. Suddenly my list for them has dropped from 13 to 3! How great is that! I figured out that I can cover all the sisters and there rugrats for about $75! Not bad.

How am I doing it? With some very smart shopping at the dollar store and my local discount store. Example 1 - I was at the discount store the other day picking up some pantry staples when I wandered over to the toy section.  I found board games for $8! And these aren't cheap knock off or anything, these are some games that are going for $15-$20 each at Target! Score! So also on the same trip while gazing at all the beautiful Christmas decorations I found a stand of all kinds of Christmas movies for $2 each! How perfect! So a board game and 2 movies for each family and I'm only down $12 per family!

In the next few weeks I'm going to head over to the dollar store and pick up some movie theater type candy, a plastic popcorn bucket for each member of the family, some popcorn and a small basket/bucket to put it all in.

So you figure with the one family of 5 if I get 5 different types of candy, plus everything else I will have spent $24! Now just arrange it in the basket and wrap it up.

I think it's a pretty cool idea that hopefully they'll like, while I save myself butt loads of money and don't have to fight with all those crazies on Black Friday trying to get a "good" deal on something.

So what do you think?

Whirl-A-Style Review

Before you know it, the holidays will be here as will numerous party invites. Whirl a Style is a neat little product that can help you achieve a wide variety of up-dos in a fraction of the time it would take to use other hair tools and endless amounts of bobby pins.

Product Info:
The strength of Whirl-a-Style is in the tool! Whirl-a-Style is a hairstyling product that addresses the versatile needs of women with active “on the go” lifestyles. This is a useful and easy device that allows the hair to be pulled back in a twist or bun without the use of bobby pins or claw clips. Each Whirl-a-Style Hairstyler device has a special slit through the center of the product where the hair is pulled, then rolled and styled as desired. Its simple, unique design does not pull hair or add weight to the head, both of which have been known to cause discomfort and headaches with other products.

Sizes include:
  1. The Jumbo Large Whirl-a-Style is designed for those women who have especially long, thin or thick hair.
  2. The Large Whirl-a-Style provides a quick and easy way to style your hair in the traditional chignon or French twist.
  3. The Jumbo Medium Whirl-a-Style is great for medium length thin or thick hair!
  4. The Small Whirl-a-Style is great for styling small sections of hair. It works well with all lengths of hair, even shorter length hair.
  5. The Whirl-a-Style Minis are actually fun for both women and men. They may be used to create tight knots or twists and they will work equally well on long or short hair.

The concept is simple. To create a bun, you slide your hair through, twirl it up, and then clip the product into place:

So, how did it work? Unfortunately, because my hair is shoulder length and layered, I could not get all the hair in the bun. The part I was able to get in the bun held pretty tight and did not require any other clips or bobby pins to keep the bun itself secure. I had to use some pins to keep shorter hairs back and off my face. Once my hair grows out more I think this will work very nicely.

Where to buy: Visit http://www.whirlastyle.com/. You can also click the “store near you” tab to locate a specialty retailer near you.
How Much: The Whirl A Style (depending on size) range from $9-$10

I was provided with the above mentioned product for the purpose of facilitating this review. No other compensation was received and the views expressed here are my own.
